Freetail Brewing Co. is one of San Antonio's flagship craft breweries, named after the Mexican free-tailed bat — a beloved symbol of Texas. Founded in 2008, Freetail operates a brewpub and a separate production facility, producing a wide range of beers from session IPAs to barrel-aged stouts. Their original brewpub on the northwest side of San Antonio combines house-brewed beer with a full food menu. A cornerstone of San Antonio's craft beer identity.
