Plan Your Brewery Visits Around Match Days
Before Kickoff
- Arrive 3-4 hours early — enough time for 1-2 brewery stops before the match
- Most breweries on both loops open by 12pm on weekends and 3pm on weekdays
- Visit the closest breweries first — several on each loop are within a 5-10 minute drive of the stadium
- Order a flight (sampler) instead of full pints to try more in less time
After the Final Whistle
- Most Texas taprooms stay open until 10-11pm — plenty of time for post-match celebrations
- Friday & Saturday matches: breweries open until 11pm or midnight
- Plan your rideshare — match-day surge pricing drops ~30 min after final whistle
- Non-match days are the best time for unhurried brewery tours and tastings
Transit & Transportation
Arlington — AT&T Stadium
9 matches including a semifinal
- No public transit to AT&T Stadium — Arlington has no rail or bus service to the venue
- Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is the best option. Drop-off zones are on Randol Mill Rd and AT&T Way
- Driving: match-day parking runs $40-75. Lots fill early — arrive 2+ hours before kickoff
- Brewery strategy: visit DFW breweries before the match (most are 5-15 min drive), rideshare to the stadium for kickoff
Houston — NRG Stadium
7 matches
- METRORail Red Line stops at NRG Park/Fannin South — connects to downtown Houston brewery district
- Rideshare also works well. Pick-up/drop-off on Kirby Drive and McNee Road
- Better transit than Arlington — take the light rail from downtown Houston brewery stops directly to the stadium
- Brewery strategy: visit breweries near the METRORail line, then ride straight to NRG Park
Watch the Match at a Brewery — via Tesla Robotaxi
Match tickets sold out long ago and resale is well above face value. If you want the atmosphere without the stadium, both Dallas and Houston now have Tesla Robotaxi service (launched April 18, 2026) that can drop you off at a taproom inside the service zone to watch the match with locals. Note: the Robotaxi geofences are small at launch and do not reach AT&T Stadium or NRG Stadium — use it for the brewery leg, not the stadium leg.
Dallas — Uptown & Downtown
Zone: Dallas North Tollway → US-75, Park Cities → Downtown (~30 sq mi)
- 3 breweries in-zone across Uptown, Design District, and Cedars
- Service hours 6am–2am daily on Model Y
- Hail via the Tesla app — no driver, no safety operator
Houston — NW / Jersey Village
Zone: between US-290 and TX-249, Beltway 8 → FM-1960 (~25 sq mi)
- 2 breweries in-zone — 11 Below (Willowbrook) and Senate Avenue (Jersey Village)
- Service hours 6am–2am daily on Model Y
- Central Houston craft corridors (Sawyer Yards, Heights, EaDo) are outside the current zone
Welcome from Anywhere
All breweries on both loops are selected for international accessibility. Texas craft beer culture is famously welcoming — no membership required, no reservations needed for most taprooms.
Payment & Tipping
- Credit & debit cards accepted at all breweries. Apple Pay and Google Pay widely accepted
- Tipping: $1-2 per beer at the bar, or 15-20% at full-service tables
- No need to carry cash — Texas breweries are almost entirely cashless-friendly
Know Before You Go
- Drinking age: 21+ — bring your passport or valid government-issued ID. Non-US IDs accepted at most breweries
- Weather: June-July in Texas is hot (95-105°F / 35-40°C). Indoor taprooms have A/C. Hydrate between beers
- Hours: most taprooms open 12pm-11pm on weekends, 3pm-10pm on weekdays
Getting from the Airport
- DFW Airport → Arlington: ~20 min by rideshare ($25-35)
- IAH (George Bush) → Houston: ~30 min by rideshare ($30-40)
- HOU (Hobby) → NRG Stadium: ~15 min by rideshare ($15-25)
- English is the primary language. Many Houston breweries have Spanish-speaking staff
